Q Parent Connect
The Q Parent Connect portal is one of the best ways to monitor student grades, scores, assignments, and more. All progress reports and final trimester report card grades, marks for citizenship and work habits, and teacher comments are posted on Q. You can also send an email to your child's teachers by clicking on the teacher name in Q. Q can be accessed from an internet browser or the phone app. Please be sure to register your email address in the Q parent portal as we will be sending more messages through email and app, and fewer through phone.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR…
Q. HOW CAN I CHANGE MY PASSWORD? As soon as you log in, click on the word “Account” in the upper righthand corner and follow the directions.
Q. I LOST MY PASSWORD OR PIN# –
Q. I CAN’T SEE ALL OF THE HOMEWORK – Teachers post their homework depending on the requirements of their class. Some post two days at a time, others post more or less. Some teachers post homework on their individual websites. If you can’t see any homework or have questions about their posting policies, please contact the teacher.
Q. I CAN’T SEE SOME OR ALL OF THE GRADES UNDER ASSIGNMENTS? Be sure the "Show All" button is checked in the right hand corner. Some teachers post their assignments differently and some teachers don’t post on Q. Please contact the teacher directly.
Q. HOW CAN I PRINT INFORMATION? Click anywhere on the screen that you want to print then print as you normally would
Q. HOW CAN I UPDATE MY CONTACT INFORMATION? Log into parent connect at this link: https://conejo.vcoe.org/parentconnect/
Click on My Information on the top right of the page.
Under Contacts: (Your name) go to Demographics and click the edit tab on the right side of the page. When all updates are complete, click submit on the top left. You may do this at any time during the year to make updates or changes to your personal information such as email addresses, phone numbers and emergency contacts.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR…
- HOMEWORK – Click “NEWS” on the lefthand side and scroll down to the calendar.
- GRADES – Click “ASSIGNMENTS” on the lefthand side then click “Show All Assignments” to see the grades received on individual assignments and tests. REPORT CARD/PROGRESS REPORTS – Click “Marks”. If you want to print a report card just click anywhere on the screen when the card is displayed and then print how you normally would on your computer.

- Enter the email address you have provided Los Cerritos during enrollment
- Q will send your pin & password via the email address on file

CANVAS
Canvas Parent Observer Access
We would highly encourage you, if you have not already, to become a parent observer on your child’s Canvas account. Here is how to become an “observer” on Canvas. This will allow you to access your child’s Canvas site to monitor grades and assignments.
To become a parent observer in Canvas, follow these steps:

2) Go to : https://conejousd.instructure.com/login/canvas
3) In the upper right corner click on the login for parents.
4) Enter your name, email, password and the pairing code you get from your student or teacher. (Note: the pairing code can only be used once, so if two parents want to have their own separate accounts a second pairing code must be generated after the first one is used)
