Math Boost Exam & Camp Information

CVUSD Math Pathways and Boost Camp Information

Math 6 Honors
  • A's and B's in 5th grade math for all three trimesters and 83% or higher on the CVUSD benchmark exam (end of course exam)
Math 7 Honors
  • Current 6 CP students : A or B in Math 6 CP semester 1 to qualify for Boost Camp
  • Current 6 CP students : A or B in Math 6 CP semester 1 to qualify for Boost Camp SPANISH
  • Current 6 Honors students: A's or B's in Math 6 Honors semester 1 and 2 AUTOMATICALLY move on to Math 7 Honors
Algebra 1 CP
  • A's in Math 7CP semester 1 and 2 and 83% or higher on District Benchmark Exam AND 70% or higher on the Boost Camp Exam will be placed in Algebra 1 CP 

  • A's in Math 7CP semester 1 and 2 and 83% or higher on District Benchmark Exam AND 70% or higher on the Boost Camp Exam will be placed in Algebra 1 CP  SPANISH
Algebra 1 H
  • A's or B's in Math 7 Honors semester 1 and 2 AUTOMATICALLY move on to Algebra 1 H 
Students that are unable to attend the Boost Camp are welcome to study on their own to prepare for the Boost Camp exam (taken at LCMS); Students must score at least a 80% on the exam to be considered for enrollment in the accelerated course in the Fall.
